Hashtag Wood is a young company that deeply values sustainability and environmental responsibility in its production processes. We employ sustainable procedures and only use wood sourced from auctions held by the Romanian National Forestry Administration, Romsilva.
Romsilva is The Romanian National Forestry Administration that protects, preserves, and develops the forestry fund owned by Romania. Romsilva respects traceability regulations (FSC) and sustainable exploitation. We strive to reduce our ecological impact and promote long-term environmental stewardship.
We are in the process of obtaining our own FSC certification. We comply with the high FSC standards on the rules of traceability. Our agenda is busy and we plan to achieve the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System—our products meet customer requirements and comply with current regulations), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System—focused on environmental performance), and ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
Our partnership with Romsilva reflects our commitment to responsible forestry operations for sustainable wood harvesting. Selective logging, reforestation, and protection of biodiversity are such operations. We prioritize the use of certified wood from Romsilva auctions, respectively from well-managed forests.
We know that incorporating recycling or reclaimed wood intro production lowers the demand for virgin timber. It also reduces waste. Our team works on running such sustainable procedures as well.
Throughout our manufacturing facility, we promote energy-efficient technologies and processes. We strive to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. We use energy-efficient lighting systems, machinery, and equipment to reduce our overall energy consumption.
Energy efficiency is important for our company. We have implemented energy management systems to monitor and improve energy usage throughout the manufacturing process. One of our plans is to turn to renewable energy sources such as solar panels or wind turbines to power factory operations.
